I would appreciate it if you guys could tell me if this setup will be compatible with TrueNas Core, or if I should consider TrueNas Scale.

This PC build is specifically for Plex, and Plex only. I want it to be able to do simultaneously 4K transcoding.

Software:
-Linux FreeBSD --> RaidZ2 --> Plex

Hardware:
-SuperMicro X11SPA-T Motherboard
-Intel Xeon Gold 6138 Processor 27.5M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 20 Core
-PNY Quadro P5000 16GB Video Card
-Crucial T500 500GB Gen4 NVMe M.2
-LSI 9305 24i
-Fourteen 20 TB WD Red Pro to start, my case has space for 64 HDD and I plan to slowly add more HDD.

seems to me aquantia is likely problematic, so no 10gbe. scale *might* work better but i dunno. i would plan for a proper (intel/mellanox/chelsio) 10gbe card is this is important to you for a plan B. the audio will be about as useless as hardware can be (unless you try some kind of VM passthrough.) this looks like a workstation motherboard, definitely beefy though. impressed it has IPMI though.

curious what this is for.
-LSI 9305 24i
overkill but totally fine (i have one)

14 drives is too wide for raidz2 generally.consider 10-12 at the most. you would be adding drives in full raidz2 vdevs, so that would mean buying 10-14 drive at a time.

how much damn media do you have...
