Is LAGG0 worth while if you have plain L2 switch.

Installed FreeNAS 8.0.3 p1 x64 with 8Gb RAM, 2x2Tb HDD stripped.
Also have two intel 18567LX NIC configured in lagg0.

I also have same configuration on different pc with single intel 18567LX nic without lagg0.

Is it worth configuring link aggregation if you only have cheap unmanaged floor switch?
Would I be gaining any network throught puts?

W/o a managed switch, you will not see any advantages in configuring LAGG.

Are you seeing performance problems?

I did have a problem setting it up with jumbo frame since FreeNAS 7, but somehow FreeNAS 8 did not have any problem at all setting it.
With performance, there is no problems as matter effect, single nic without LAGG performs faster, that is with cheapo L2 switch.

You have a switch that supports jumbo frames that isn't managed?

Pretty sure he does not. I'm sure his router does not support it also, since he is using a un-managed switch.
As a side note, I use a Cisco SA520W-K9 mixed with a SG 300-10 switch, so I could use LACP without issues but I don't see the need since my current computers connected to NAS have crappy disks.

I have Netgear GS116 which supports jumbo frame and that's about it.
Simple cheapo layer 2 home use switch.
