I'm not sure why, but since I updated to 22.12.2, the dataset ACL editor is behaving abnormally for me. The behavior can be observed in the video below, but essentially, it randomly returns an error when I merely click on an object. Rules are working as expected, so I think is a visual bug. Am I missing something? If not, I can file a bug report.
