Just curious about a historical question, and I'm having trouble tracking down the answer: When were feature flags (i.e., OpenZFS v5000) introduced in FreeNAS? The cover of the 9.1.0 user guide indicates OpenZFS v28, but the 9.2.0 user guide doesn't state a version. Would it be correct to conclude that the change came between those two versions?

Looks like the cover wasn't updated. But it is very clear in the 9.1.0 What's New section:

New ZFS feature flags have been added. This includes LZ4 which is now the recommended
compression algorithm.

Sure enough--just RTFM a bit better. So 9.1 moved to "v5000", while 8.3.2 was on v28.
