Intermittency freezing trouble, what could it be.

I've been vexed by a intermittency issue with my VM Ubuntu 18.04 headless server, For about a year now freezing the transmission both in the app/web user interface and on the command line ssh connection. It works well its not showing any errors in the syslog only this output looks strange. besides [connX] received client which apparently is happening every second. But who knows maybe a network, ssl, hostname, nginx config, app either gogs or wekan, or some other thing I did and don't remember, but It does work for over a year and I remember it frozen up every minute or so during the manual provisioning of the server. I its really a drag when the letter doesn't appear and I count ............ __one___ ............ __two__............__three__............__four__............__five__............__six__............ ok I can type again.

Anyone have any Idea's... What logs can I give or troubleshooting steps.

I think I've tried a new Ubuntu box and got the same result but, really can't remember right now if I did.

I seem to have had a similar issue with SSH 1-2 years ago. I also seem to remember there have been a post about it somewhere, either on this forum or on the web.

So I got to the bottom of the post. Thinking I did install a fiber card on the system and never removed the card after realizing it wasn't necessary or an upgrade. Just now I try opening the network tab and interfaces. The UI wont go to any of the sub-menu pages I just did an update to 11.2-U8. I'm gonna remove the card tho. It doesn't need to be there.

I think the Freenas UI feels snappyer right now after removeing the card and the interfaces page comes up. I have just one nic listed. with sane values in all the boxes. Gonna see if it's fixed now.

Yeah, I think it's fixed. Hasn't froze any on ssh connection. I think I still have a second Issue but It's very nice to be able to eperience the VM's without that pausing all the time. Thanks for the info. You helped me, greatly appreciated.
