intel i350-t2 network adapter

Hi All,

I have just installed a FreeNAS-8.0.3-RELEASE-p1-x64.
I have an Intel Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T2.
The running system does not see the network card.
There is a driver on the Intel site:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...net+Server+Adapter+I350-T2&OSVersion=FreeBSD*

How can I use this network card with the above Freenas release?

Post ifconfig -a

Hi,

I am sorry, I was not clear.
The pciconf command does not recognize the network card.
The official igb dirver is not supporting this chipset unfortunately.
There is a igd driver on the intel site

but the FreeNAS relase does not contain the above driver.
Is it possible to use - somehow - the i350 chipset based network card with FreeNAS?

Seems like this driver is for 7.x, freenasd 8 is based on freebsd 8.2...

I350 support was added in igb for freebsd 9.0, one can expected this to be backported to 8.3...

Maybe it is easy enough to backport the changeset to 8.2. You can fill a ticket in support.freenas.org asking about that possibility...

this card is now becoming mainstream. hope for some love'n in the next release ;) I have a few new machine with these cards ready to be used. I dont want to have to build my own for this ;)
