Intel Escalation of Privilege Vulnerability

Is anyone aware if Intel based FreeNAS system are at risk due to the Intel Escalation of Privilege Vulnerability? Early information that I have seen indicates that the solution for this may be a combination of a BIOS update on the motherboard and an operating system update. I think that I have heard that Windows, Mac, and Linux systems may be affected. I also understand that not all Intel based systems are affected. I'm not sure if BSD OS updates may be required or not.

No, there is no indication that Meltdown can be fixed in microcode, weird as it sounds.
