Pretty frustrated as I can't find anything in the context of a step by step guide to installing miniDLNA. I already installed transmission and made the jail and software folders in my NAS (jail has its own IP address as well).

I went to the freenas sight and downloaded the latest version of miniDLNA but its zipped with numerous files and not a PBI file.

Hoping someone could thoroughly explain to me how to get this installed while keeping in mind I've only worked on Windows platforms previously.

I have freenas 8.2 x64.

Thank you pfonseca and HAL 9000!! The issue was that I wasn't looking in the correct location of the freenas website to find the PBI file. It installed with a breeze and its appear under Network in Windows.

HAL, you mentioned I cannot fully configure mindlna in the GUI. What's a good reference I could find to see what those other configurations are?

Thank you both!!

You can't specify separate paths for audio, music and videos for example.
Take a look at oryginal minidlna.conf file for more settings.
