Greetings,
I've got a couple of ESXi 4.1 servers.
I've downloaded both the 32bit and 64bit Freenas ISO's to try install them on my ESXi servers.
I have done everything exactly as in this website's instructions: http://pricklytech.wordpress.com/2011/05/15/installing-freenas-8-on-vmware-vsphere-esxi/

Problem is, when the ISO starts loading, I can see:
CD Loader 1.2
Building the boot loader arguments
looking up /BOOT/LOADER... File not found
looking up /boot/loader... Found

Then I get a movement glypho like these characters |/-\|/\-/| being replaced very fast.
But nothing else happens.
Can someone give me a hand with this?
TIA
Cheers

Weird...
Just downloaded FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-i386.iso (instead of 8.0.4) and it booted properly.
Can someone replicate this?
Is this a known bug?
TIA
Cheers

Are you using the suggested 1GB disk size? This was increased to 2GB in 8.0.1-BETA3 to make room for localizations. We usually recommend at least 4GB in case there are future OS size increases.

Hi admin.
Thanks for your reply.
I have 2 hard disks in my VMWare virtual machine for FreeNAS.
One is 4GB (for FN installation) and the other one is 300GB (for file storage).
Could you please try this setup in an ESXi 4.1?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Hi guys.
Just realized that the iso files hashes didn't match.
We redownloaded (for the 3rd or 4th time :o) and now it works flawlessly.
You can close this one.
Thanks for all the help you spared me.
Cheers
