Installation failed

I really need to send a video
Installed on 120g SSD OK
Set password OK
Went to ip PROVIDED in browser and couldn't login with password
lOGIN presume is 'root'
Tried to change password on server using option 7
No Keyboard input for typing password
Tried again with re-install same problem
Ha ha funny

That's not really much better. Can you be more specific?

That said, try a very simple password without any special characters to make sure it's not a keyboard layout issue.

OK tried a different motherboard
Gigabyte GA-F2A55M Socket FM2 mATX HDMI Motherboard + A8-5600k CPU + 8GB
120GB SSD Kingston
Flashed another USB 16GB using Balena with TrueNAS 13.0-U2.iso
Booted up from USB, set root password as 'naff' and got the same results
When I logged in first time from Browser (Chrome and Firefox) using 'root' as user and 'naff' as password I got the message 'incorrect user name or password
Is 'root' the wrong username?

The user is “root”, yes.

More than a different motherboard, you might want to try a different keyboard…

Mmmmm.. thank you.. the keyboard I used to create the password twice that Truenas checked? MMM.. not sure about that, since I have been using the keyboard for years without any issues

I used the same keyboard and installed a different Linux NAS - great success! Hope you find this amusing..
