Install Over Existing Windows Server 2003?

Mr. Customer has a RAID array running the above that has backups and files already on it from his current client/server setup. We are changing his entire system and we are wondering if FreeNAS can be installed on/over his existing server without destroying existing, stored data thus turning it into a NAS for wider use. I've asked around about using OpenFiler and others and haven't had a definitive response from them. FreeNAS seems the better product. If it will work.

Basically, no. There isn't really a nas appliance out there that will.

Please review the freenas documentation before going any further.

Thank you. Finally the answer! I have reviewed the docs and none I saw specifically addressed this. I hope I have not wasted any of your time, but you have helped me a lot.
