I am relatively new to TrueNAS. Core has been running my home lab for about a year now and I am testing a production (very simple) Scale deployment now.

I just wanted to say thanks to this community and especially the iX moderators and commenters on here. The comments are informed and helpful and even simple questions are never trivialized.

Thanks so much. This kind of community really reinforces my faith in the choice I have made.

I guess your pool sizes in the signature should be TB for your HDDs?

It would be interesting to know how you're connecting your disks. I know PERC controllers can end up being a tricky business to work with if you can't get them flashed into IT mode.

Oooops. I'll edit my sig (just added it yesterday).

Yea I flashed a H310 into IT mode on both the home lab and the production machine (which isn't in my sig yet). Worked like a charm. There are incredible resources on the web for helping with that (standing on the shoulders of giants).
