I just purchased an i3-8100 and a Supermicro X11SSM-F-O motherboard plus 16GB Kingston ECC memory. Can someone tell me confidently if this motherboard will support the 8th gen i3 processor before I open the box (seems like I need to return it)? I read conflicting things on this. I of course don't care about being able to use the UHD onboard graphics. Related post which seems to say I need to either return the motherboard or the CPU

If I keep the CPU: Any recommendations for a great MB that supports 8th gen i3? Supermicro X11SCH-LN4F?
If I keep the motherboard: will the Pentium G5500 work? This is also a newer Coffee Lake processor.
Thank you!
