Good morning,

in wanting to update nextcloud the latest update crashed.
So I tried rolling back the update which didn't work. I verified there was a snapshot and thinking the data was on a separate mount I deleted docker wanting to reinstall it. but I was probably not fully awake, all the data disappeared as well as the snapshot...

I quickly took out one of the RAID 1 disks, telling myself that I could still do a photorec. Strangely I can't recover the photos, only ones which are quite old. I wonder if the recent photos aren't still in a folder like a trash folder? Do you have any idea how to find the nextcloud data that was in the docker?

thanks you...

I will reply to myself.
So I use the tool UFS explorer and I find the deleted dir of nextcloud/data
It still cost me around 100 euros but it saved my life. I took the opportunity to delete trunas, upgrade debian to ext3 and automate backups. I'm not saying ZFS is bad. But apparently not for me. The fact that snapshots are deleted along with Docker images without warning drives me crazy. Anyway, I tried. I also learned that having large disks in raid could pose a big problem for data restoration. You need a lot of computing power; a simple PC, even a very recent one, doesn't do the trick. I'm saying this if one day it might help someone else.
