HP NC364T card not detected in FreeNAS 11.2-U4.1

I just installed a used HP NC364T 4-port gigabit network card in my FreeNAS box. To my understanding these cards were supposed to be compatible since they are technically Intel Pro/1000 cards. However my setup is not detecting the card in CLI or Web. The card does show a link light when connected to a switch so I figured the it is still good. Are these cards no longer supported or do I just have a dud?

My setup is as follows (I'm aware that my memory is bare minimum but it is the max the board will support)
Xeon X3220
Asus P5BV-M motherboard (not to be confused with P5B-VM)
8 GB ECC Ram
LSI 9211-8i with IT firmware
6x 1 TB Seagate constellation drives
1x L2ARC SSD
1x ZIL SSD
1x SSD Boot drive

Can you add dmesg / pciconf -lv / ifconfig output, please?

I'm not an expert and finally gave up with those hp quads. I own a NC365T and I did some tests here on another hardware, too. It was perfectly working on 9.x series, not in 11.2-x.

Certainly. The files are attached. Good to know I am not the only one having trouble with these model cards. My setup is probably on its last legs but I don't have the money to build something new yet.

The HP NC364T is based on the Intel 85271EB ethernet controller and is fully supported by the freebsd EM driver. The card doesn't show on your dmesg so it isn't being detected on boot. Try installing the card in another system to make sure the issue isn't with the card.

As a side note, that card can consume over 12w so make sure it has decent airflow.

If it's undetected @ boot I would try that card on another system as @Mlovelace suggested or reboot the system with OS only (detach LSI card).

I had to swap my quad with a dual NC360T (em driver).

Well I tried in another machine and it somewhat works, but only connects at 10 Mbps so maybe the card is bad after all. Now that proto mentioned it, a resource conflict with the LSI card is possible. However, that LSI card is far more important so I am going to leave it as is and continue using the onboard NICs instead. Thanks for the info.
