Hello guys
i a newbie in this forum and also in experience with freenas.
I have a Proliant DL380 G4 that was decomissioned from his work has server, but i grant me a good storage capabilities.
I have installed on a flash drive lastest freenas.
i have set it up iScsi connector but i am not able to see the disk from any device (esxi-host, iscsi initializator of windows)
i have the sensation that something is strange on the disk management. If i create an volume under smartarray6i menu inside freenas inteface i can see a drive of correct size. i can also use it for Target/Extent as SD0 for Target/Extent
if i create volume inside the freenas storage option it cannot be used anymore.
If i don't create it, VMWare can see the iSCSI connector properly, is able to identify automatically the target, but not connect the disk.
if i don't create any volume in the smartarry gui, i am not able to see any disk nowhere.
Does anyone fix a similar issue?
