Totally new to FreeNAS and freeBSD. I do use a fair bit of Linux (openSUSE, Debian). Recently purchased a FreeNAS Mini 16TB and attempting to learn this environment. I've got a lot of questions so far that I will try to ask in the correct sections of this forum.

Welcome! Be sure to take some time to go over the FreeNas Guide, it will help a lot. I still find myself looking at it about once a day. Guess I am dense that way. :D

I don't think its dense, I had to learn the hard way:
ME: Its broke.
Forum: What's broke?
ME: This thing...
Forum: Did you look in the manual?
ME: But, its broke.
Forum: Google is your friend.
ME: But... But... But...
Forum Go away. RTFM!

Thanks for the welcome!

I've been referencing it for nearly everything I do so far since I turned on this new toy. ;) Too many things I just don't know.

We usually make a pretty good attempt to get new users sorted out. Those who can take a pointer and attempt to do some of their own lifting usually have the most success. ZFS is a little crazy complexicated compared to a lot of other things, and we've all been at that point where we're a bit stumped.
