Hey all. I am using a Dell 7010 SFF. I have connected some drives to the SATA ports on the board itself, sees them all fine. FreeNAS is up and running.

I bought one of these.

And earlier today I successfully flashed it into the LSI IT mode. However, when I connect a drive to it I can not view it in FreeNAS.

Do I need to somehow install a driver? advice would be very welcome.

You should be very clear in what you did to flash the card to IT mode and what software and where you got it. Do not assume we know what you did, pretend you are teaching us how to do it. I say this because we all make assumptions and assumptions will not help you get good quick help. While it doesn't really matter, we are assuming you are running a recent version of FreeNAS, not version 8.0 for example. So tell us what you are running and describe the hardware as well. The more information you provide, the faster you will solve this problem. Off the cuff you likely flashed the wrong IT software but that may not be the issue.

Good luck, now time to take my daughter out for her birthday dinner.

If you did get the hardware flash to IT mode correct the next thing I would wonder is if your card is actually supported by FreeNAS. Here's the supported hardware listing: https://www.freebsd.org/releases/11.3R/hardware.html#disk.

That's not useful. It doesn't list every possible variant of every card, and is particularly weak around crossflashed HBA's..

The pictured card appears to be a PERC H200, and if it is crossflashed correctly, it is very FreeNAS-compatible.

Make sure your card is connected correctly and that you are using the correct kind of cables to attach your disks.

I really suspect it was flashed incorrectly since it was working prior to flashing.
