Hello all,

I'm using version 8. The problem I am having is I want to export a subset of directories under /mnt/data. However, the UI doesn't seem to allow that. Am I missing an obvious command? Do I need to do this by editing /etc/exports?

Any help would be appreciated.

I figured it out purely by accident. If you simply create datasets on the volume and then you can export those datasets. Be careful not to delete the dataset until you have moved the data in it somewhere else, if the data is important to you. Otherwise, it will be deleted! So far I'm pretty impressed with FreeNAS. Now if only UPnP/DLNA can make its way back into the product. :)

How did you NFS export ZFS dataset?
I don't see any export related icons/links next to dataset when viewing active volumes list on web GUI.

Paktas,
You need to go Sharing->Unix and then create an NFS export and select the datasheet from the pulldown on that form.
