How to disable nmbd log ?

I have FN running off USB SSD 8Gb drive
System is 4 x 1 Tb RAID (software) drives

If I copy x amount of data to RAID volumes (via Samba) the system is still ON (web access, SSH access), but Samba dies (suddenly user loses authentication & can NOT re-authenticate back)
Only way is to reboot

It all comes down to nmbd.log being massive

So how do I disable logging (as I really do not care, prefer to have system that stays up instead)

What is the log level you're using in Services->CIFS settings?

I was debug, so changed to to lowest available

Rather than turning it off, you could look at the file and see what it is whining about since that amount of logging even on minimal is extremely abnormal. It could be a configuration issue in samba or on your network and it is trying to tell you something!
