How to contribute source code patches to FreeNAS?

Hi everybody,

Is there a policy for contributing patches to freenas? I wasn't able to find one in github.
Should one just make a pull request or is it preferred to submit the details in a bug tracking system?
Also, what branch are changes to the current stable version supposed to go to?

A git pull request with a comment on what the patch fixes is fine. ATM, the correct branch is https://github.com/freenas/freenas/tree/9.3-STABLE. That may change when 9.3.2 is released.
