How to connect a FreeNAS virtual drive to my home network

I am stumped...I have successfully created a NAS in a virtual machine (VirtualBox) and attached a virtual drive, however, I am miffed as how to connect it to my home network.

This is my setup...

Media Server with Win XP Pro OS connected to my home network
Virtual machine with FreeNAS installed on its own virtual disk
Virtual storage disk (MEDIA1) attached to NAS from within FreeNAS GUI
Created a Windows Share of MEDIA1 in FreeNAS GUI
Virtual machine network adapter is bridged

How do I get my media server to see the virtual storage disk?

Turn on CIFS, because it defaults to off?
