How to add a line to device.hints

Hello all,

My system crashed at normaal bootup. I am using a Asus Z9PE D8 WS. I can only keep it running when I add the following line as a kernel parameter:
set kFreeBSD.hint.wbwd.0.disabled="1". This prevents watchdog from starting and therefore crashing my machine. Now I only need to add this line to the /boot/device.hint file. I have no clue how to do this.
