how do i use TrueNas to make the samba share server work and allocate a virtual machine to it?

im new to TrueNAS so sorry if i dont know what im saying. my school assigment was to make the samba share server work and seperate (allocate) a virtual machine to it? the problem is i dont know where to start. how do i make a samba share server and how do i allocate a TrueNas virtual machine into it. my teacher gave me a little hint that says: "nesting enabled". what does that mean? i would appreciate if anyone would help me out.
