Hot-plugging support in FreeNAS8?

Does FreeNAS8 with ZFS/RAIDZ support hot-plugging of hard drives or is a reboot required for the system to 'see' the new/replaced drives?

Yes it is supported

Ok interesting, must be a VMWare workstation issue that it doesn't expose drives added while the VM is running... will investigate.

You might want try to manually run "camcontrol rescan all" to check if anything changes
