Hi, I'm a beginner
I have had FreeNas 11.3 installed in my jar
Tried to move data to a larger disk and had problems.
Suddenly there was no FreeNas program, and Nas could not start?
There was USB and also the SSD where the program was installed.
But to make it short.

I have reinstalled TrueNAS-12.0-U5.1. and I enter the home page via Chroome.
My HDDs are there but they are unknown to the system.

Do I have to format everything and install from scratch, or can I somehow connect my HDDs to the TruNas program, so I do not lose all data ??
Thanks in advance
Eddie

Jar?
What happens if you try to import?

I was going to say take the strawberry jam out the jar first!!
The only way to read the pool is to import it. If it imports then fine. If it doesn't - you do have backups don't you?
Importing failure is unlikely to effect the data on the disks - but then if you can't read it - does it really matter

Try the import first

You're totally right

It's just that everything is on the disk when I copied them to other disks that were not in the nose, to later change and add larger disks with more TB, then suddenly the TruNass program disappeared and it could not start.
I have bucked up on the system but do not know how to install it.
So I reinstalled the New mTryNas 12 and as you can see in the picture it works and it sees HDD, but I have not tried to import them, as I do not know if it will automatically format or not.
Therefore, I wondered if there is any way to make them work so I can save what is on other HDDs.
But if it does not work, well then just start from the beginning.
Thank you for taking the time, appreciate it.

An import will not format
Only creation of a new pool will do that

Hopefully the import will work

Import should be relatively trouble free. If it can, it will. If it can't it will tell you.
