Hi,
I'm new with FreeNAS and I need help with disk expanding. I already read manual but help from some users will be much easier or if someone can give me some easy points on how to extend my total HD capacity? Now I have three disks of 2TB each (actual space is now of 3.8TB, mirroring system). I would like to ad additional three disks of same space (2TB).
I know that is explained everything in manual but it's much easier if someone explain to you wit some steps.

Thanks and best regards.

Ok, thanks for so nice answer! And for your information I searched the forum before I asked but I didn't find any question about it. Maybe my fault but no need of such answer! Instead, you could give me a link of that previous question on the forum.
And thanks for help!!

Hi
I read online manual and now i'am a little bit more informed about it. Just a question if i did understood correctly. If i add volume to the pool i will lost data on disk that I'm adding or on all disks already in the pool? From Manual: "The “Add Volume” button warns that existing data will be cleared. In other words, creating a new volume reformats the selected disks. If your intent is to not overwrite the data on an existing volume, click the “Cancel” button and refer to Import Disk and Import Volume....."

Thnaks,
Best regards

DO NOT ADD A VOLUME.

Read over the section of the manual titled "Extend a volume".

Rather than add a volume, you'll pick your existing volume from the drop down box and add your new disks. Be sure to select the correct volume layout.
