Hi everyone!

I'm new here and need some help regarding what hardware is compatible with freenas.
Here's what I have in mind:

Chassis: Xigmatek Elysium
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
RAID card: Adaptec RAID 72405 http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/products/series/7/ (it says on Adaptecs site it supports FreeBSD, it should work or ?)
Processor: Intel Core i5 3570K 3,4Ghz
Memory: Corsair XMS3 Vengeance DDR3 PC15000/1866MHz CL9 2x8GB (CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9) x2 (Total of 32GB, I read a thumbrule of 1GB/1TB. I will be able to reach 80TB with this setup)
Hot-swap cage: Norco SS-500
Hard drives: Hitachi Ultrastar 7K4000 HUS724040ALE640 64MB 4TB or Western Digital RE WD4000FYYZ 64MB 4TB
The HDs are very expensive would something like Hitachi Deskstar H3IK40003272SE 64MB 4TB work? I know the later is ment for desktop environments.

The two biggest concerns are the adaptec RAID controller card and what 4TB HDs work. I have read that desktop drives aren't ment for 24/7 use but the server drives cost twice as much:(.
Norco SS-500 it says on their site it's only supports certain RAID configurations which I find odd. Shouldn't it work with any RAID, don't think they have a controller card in it?

Appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance :)
