Hello from a total Beginner

So, I really don't have much of an IT background. But, my company was getting rid of some of it's old server and said I could take home a couple DL180's, so here I am, with those and an old desktop to play with. I apologize in advance for what are going to be super basic questions that probably anyone here will already know, but hey, gotta start somewhere. Ultimate goal is going to be to just house files and media that I will be able to access outside of my home. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Good Luck! I've had mine up and running for about 3 weeks solid and has been serving up all my media perfectly.

I suggest using the search here in the forums a lot, most of your "super basic questions" as well as ones you may think only relate to you, have all been discussed many times. Also the documentation for FreeNAS is a fantastic resource, be sure to use it.
