Hello,
I'm somewhat new to the FreeNAS and ZFS systems but have dabbled in them a little over the last few years.
I work for our church as the IT administrator/AV guru. With that comes managing lots of data. Video, audio, documents, etc... About 10TB in the last 4 years. We are currently using a Drobo5N (I know, don't laugh. I wasn't here yet when they bought it) and I've been looking for any opportunity to get away from that thing. I finally broke down and purchased a used 24 drive-bay 4U Supermicro server and the rest is history!
