HDD burnin results

I followed the sticky, I believe correctly, and when I ran the results , smartctl -A, the results I got did not match the sticky’s output. Figured I’d post to see if it’s just a matter of changes over time to smart test or if I F’d up somewhere. Thanks for the step by step write up by the way, it was very much appreciated.

Those are SAS drives, yes? If so, data from the drives is limited compared with that from SATA drives. See https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/smartctl-attributes-not-displayed-for-sas-drives.60930/ for info.

I see 49 and 50C temperature on your drives - that's HOT! - 40C considered a sensible max around here typically, with alarms at 36/37, target low to mid 30/s.

Thanks for the info. I have fans in front of the drives blowing air over them. Perhaps they need a higher cfm fan then.

Out of curiosity is that 49-50 temp the current temp or the hottest during a test?
