Hello out there,
on my Home FREENAS (11.1-U5) I wanted to create a Windows SMB Share and I was Happy to find help on 'Configuring Unauthenticated Access' inside the official documentation.
The inted is that all family members on the network can access (read/write) a so called 'Guest Folder' without bothering any authentication in order to exchange files.
So I went along with the documentation - using the Wizard and did like described there.
Everything went fine, the new share was created and I can open it.
However if I want to copy a file to it or want to create a new folder in that share - I'm getting told that I do not have the permissions to do so.
Has anyone a hint for me what went wrong or what needs to be changed in order to reach the result as wanted?
BTW: My SMB-Shares with authenticated access do work correctly.
Regards
