Long story short... I have a nas shelf it has P4 32bit Proc 4 gigs of ram.

I have 5 terebytes worth of data

I want to swap boards and procs for dual xeon board and 10 gig of ram

the kicker go from 32bit FreeNas to 64 bit FreeNas

Will my ZFS pool still be alive and well can I reimport it??? or will be hosed and I will have to start an new pool all over again!

Any help as always is much appreciated! Thanks KAI

I would suggest:
1) backup config
2) export zpool
3) install (it may treat it as an upgrade) 64bit
4) reboot
5) import zpool
6) if you had a new-install, restore your config

I did something sort of similar on a test machine a few days ago using the gui upgrade, i accidently upgraded to i386 (upgrade worked fine, rebooted, nas ran for a couple of days), when I realized it, I ran the upgrade with the x64. again, upgrade went fine, no errors. nas is still running fine.
