Hi,

just for my curiosity, do you have a nice command which would show which data is to be backed up while given disk is failing?

Given this:
CRITICAL: Device: /dev/ada2, 7 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors

It would be nice to know which datasets are affected. Optimal would be having it right there in the error screen: "...sectors. It's time to backup your /mnt/foobar, and replace the disk $ID"

In this case I know it's a lousy WD Green I've been having for bulk data. But for the future, when the problem hits one of the raided zpools.

You mean "..too late to backup, you should already have a backup." :)

could be that too :)

In my case the scrub says the data is fine, so it's not so black and white. But like said, there is nothing of value left on the disk. It's just hard to access it physically, so I keep the disk spinning until I have chance to pull off the disk. But any ideas for the original question on how to identify the disk?

@ikke, in the GUI select Storage at the top, you have now a listing of your volumes, click on each volume line (just volume, not any dataset below it) and at the bottom of the page select the option Volume Status
