Hello all,
I'm an IT security guy who has been on a minimalism kick for a while, but needs a private cloud playground to work out some kinks in work projects and study for some certifications. Towards that end I'm building a 4-host virtualization lab on a Dell C6105 and a FreeNAS box in an old IBM Xyratec chassis I have. Paraphrasing Cyberjock, it's loud, hot, and hungry. One of these days I'll replace it or at least the guts.

So far I have the following:
Xyratec HS-1235E:
Intel S5000PSL Mobo
40GB DDR2 ECC RAM
2x Xeon 5410
2ea quad Intel NICs
2x onboard 82456EB NICs
LSI SAS onboard controller (4 SAS 3GB/s ports)
