Dear FreeNAS forum,
i am a computer science student from Munich in Germany, mostly interested in algorithmics and scientific computing - with a secret love for my home network. I have always wanted to learn how all the magic stuff that keeps modern IT running works, and pursued that goal for years.
Having read through the forums and seen the great work done in this forum, I wanted to be part of it. I am new to freeNAS, but not free to system administration and not new to unix like systems.
After in depth experience of protocols and config files, My aim is to create a modern, simple and elegant home server system.
