Hey all,

I have set up my pool currently to a single HDD in a Stripe array, I got some leftover funds and bought a second HDD of the same size and want to upgrade that pool to a mirror now.

Is there a way to do this in True NAS Scale?

Sure. Go to Storage, and from the menu to the right of your pool name, click Status:

Then, from the pool status page, click the kebab menu to the right of your disk, and select Extend:

Select the new disk from the pop-up window, and click the Extend button:

Thank you, this worked.

Counter intuitively, the OS calls this extending. It's not, as you can see here:

I don't know that I'd say "extend" is definitely a wrong word, but it doesn't seem very intuitive. Not sure, though, what would be better--"add mirror"?

Maybe, It's not wrong, but confusing for a newcomer like me. Add mirror might be better in terms of understanding though!

Thanks again for the help.

Actually (as I have said in the forum many times already), the correct syntax in the background is zpool attach, so much more appropriate would be the verb "attach" as opposed to extend.

In context... "Attach a mirror to your striped disk".
