Getting a warning, not sure of

So looking at my Console I rebooted my systems and right at the end I got a warning:

"avahi-daemon [2486]: Warning: No NSS support for mDNS detected, consider installing nss-mdns"

Did a search and I see that there was a bug report mentioned about this. I was going to follow the instructions, but it seems that as the thread continued, once installed it created more issues.

Is there a fix for this or do I just ignore this till there is a fix?

I get this error too, but I haven't encountered any issues in the last year that I've had it. It's something to do with zero-configuration networking.

Well I mainly just use the CIFS sharing feature, it could effect other features if you are using those though. Looks like its a known bug though: http://forums.freenas.org/threads/w...-detected-consider-installing-nss-mdns.16820/
