Can Any help me figure out why my FreeNas server is freezing? I have to restart my server sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. It will show the post screen, but I can not enter the code (11) to restart/shutdown, and my computers show the drives I have mapped to the server as disconnected. I then, have to hold the power button to shut it off and restart.

I have Replaced the Motherboard, with a new processor, removed the Dell mini-SAS PERC H310 card, Reinstalled Freenas onto a USB drive (instead of my SSD), update bios.

I
can't figure out why it is having issues and I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out.

Have you had a look at dmesg output or in /var/log/messages ?

@Yorick @sretalla THank you for the response. It sure sounds like the Ryzen issues. Does anyone know when they might have a stable build for Ryzen? Also, if I go back to 11.2 will that cause issues? I am on 13.3-stable. I don't have jails or anything but a pool with my 3 8tb WD drives.

Did you upgrade the pool flags to 11.3? If so, you cannot go back at all. If you're still on the 11.2 feature flags, going back may be as easy as booting into the 11.2 boot environment. That's in System->Boot.

@sretalla I get a permissions denied when I try to run the /var/log/messages. I know I'm not supposed to, but I am using my root user account. Any Ideas why?

You don't run it, you look at it. less /var/log/messages for example.
