Hi,
I'm trying to boot FreeNAS from USB. USB has been prepared based on the instructions (link). In HP Microserver I have built-in RAID hardware controller (embedded SATA controller RAID 0/1). I have no any problems with boot FreeNAS from USB when this RAID controller is hardware disabled (in BIOS option: AHCI) - FreeNAS is starts up correctly and works fine. But when I turn on built-in RAID controller system going to reboot after that when screen show boot option (F1: FreeNAS; F2: FreeNAS; F3: Disk 1).

Any ideas?

PS. I checked whether it was already discussed this topic in the forum. He was not. :)

Seemingly FreeBSD/FreeNAS isn't compatible with the AMD RAID controller in the HP Microserver.

As luck would have it, you really don't want to use hardware RAID with FreeNAS - configure the BIOS for AHCI and use software RAID.
