And what would be the purpose of running it remotely, rather than locally in the office? That's kind of the point of a NAS--to have local networked storage.

Internet fiber link is 1gbs local or remote is it the same

Not really, in AWS I don’t thing you have direct disk access rendering zfs pointless and I don’t think you'll be able to saturate 1GbE from AWS.
Just set up storage in a bucket at AWS and run some kind of client to mount it
