I've seen a couple of people mention that they were thinking of a Llano-based system, but does anyone have such a system working?

My inclination would be to use a 2.7GHz .dual-core CPU in an Asus F1A75 Pro motherboard with 8GB RAM. The on-board Realtek NIC appears to be supported in FreeNAS, but are there any gotchas that people can foresee?

I have working system on ASUS F1A75 and Llano A4 3300 (2.5 GHz) & 8GB RAM.
5 X 3TB HDD Hitachi HDS723030ALA640 in RAIDZ2

Only one problem with the config: UEFI (BIOS) does not work with the old PCI S3 Trio64 video (F1A75 does not have any video output). So I have used PCIe video just for mobo configuration.

That's encouraging.

According to the specs, I read, the Llano A4 3300 has on-board AMD Radeon HD 6410D, and I am under the impression that all the F1A75-series boards can make use of that. Maybe that's something that FreeNAS doesn't support; but I do have a PCIe video card I could use: it's working in the present machine.

The graphs seem to indicate that the CPU is not being overworked (so should stay cool; and the 2.7GHz one I'm planning to use -- and is a few dollars cheaper -- should have an even easier life) but that there isn't a whole lot of memory to spare, so 4GB definitely wouldn't be enough; I was planning to get 8GB anyway.
