Freenas Login/Authentication to Active Directory

Are there ANY plans to provide functionality to be able to authenticate Freenas login with AD soon? And to control what/where certain users or groups can access once logged in!

Yeah...to log in to the WebGUI (even ssh if possible).

Computer management MMC snap-in can be used for some admin tasks on FN. I have some prototype code to merge into 12.0 nightlies to allow users with DISK_OPERATOR_PRIVILEGE to add / remove SMB shares through the MMC snapin. My free time has been rather limited, but this is probably a trivial enough change that I can put it in by end of week. SSH sessions are generally possible for AD users due to pam_winbind, but they will not have sufficient privileges for most admin tasks.

So, if we we pam_winbind, connect that to our corporate AD, you mean we can now use that method (we use this for other linux systems on our domain) to SSH to the unit and also log into the WebUI with an AD account?
