FreeNAS issues

Freenas installation is seeing a bunch of CAM status ATA errors. They just seem to repeat over and over again. Is there a way to get to the shell while these errors are being displayed? After some time, I can connect to the web GUI however it states that it can't connect to the NAS. Do I just need to be patient?

That sounds like a hardware problem. Can you please tell us about the hardware involved? You can use this post as a guide:
