Freenas 9.3 with Adaptec 6805

I've got an old Supermicro Nas with an Adaptec 6805 controller running FreeNAS-8.0.1-RC2-amd64 (7813). I'm looking to upgrade it to 9.3 and I'm curious if anyone has had success or it will be supported out of the box etc. I'm moving the data to a newer NAS now already running 9.3 and I was thinking a fresh install is the best route.

Short story: don't use Adaptec controllers with FreeNAS 9.3 :)

I recommend you to read the hardware recommendations thread (link is in my signature) which contains pretty much everything you need to know on the subject ;)
