I just installed version 8
FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-amd64 2011-May-02 and System information does not show how much RAM, anyone know how to turn that display on ?
Hmmm, you must be time travelling... FreeNAS 8.2 doesn't exist in this timeline yet... but FreeNAS 8.0 does and if I recall that is a known issue with 8.0 that has been fixed in the 8.01 betas.
I know where you are seeing the 8.2 now, it actually says FreeBSD if you look more closely. FreeNAS 8.0 is based on FreeBSD 8.2, and the memory was displayed incorrectly and has been fixed.
Thanks, the first gen of ver 8 i loaded, i could not do anything, so i went back to the latest ver 7 and found error in all the drives in the log told me to back up my data, that was under a 64bit zfs z2
Well if you get those errors resolved and want to try version 8 again, try the latest 8.01 beta, it handles importing volumes better. Good luck getting your errors fixed.
I installed the latest 8.0.1 Beta4 AMD64 version
