Freenas 8.2-Release p1 does not show Memory

Hello,

I just installed version 8
FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-amd64 2011-May-02 and System information does not show how much RAM, anyone know how to turn that display on ?

Hmmm, you must be time travelling... FreeNAS 8.2 doesn't exist in this timeline yet... but FreeNAS 8.0 does and if I recall that is a known issue with 8.0 that has been fixed in the 8.01 betas.

Well, i downloaded and installed FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-amd64
after it was installed, system information shows Freenas 8.2-Release p1

Memory does not show is a known issue ?

I know where you are seeing the 8.2 now, it actually says FreeBSD if you look more closely. FreeNAS 8.0 is based on FreeBSD 8.2, and the memory was displayed incorrectly and has been fixed.

Thanks, the first gen of ver 8 i loaded, i could not do anything, so i went back to the latest ver 7 and found error in all the drives in the log told me to back up my data, that was under a 64bit zfs z2

Well if you get those errors resolved and want to try version 8 again, try the latest 8.01 beta, it handles importing volumes better. Good luck getting your errors fixed.

What version of FreeNAS are you using now? 8.0 or 8.01 beta ? and i386 or AMD64? and what type of processor 32 or 64bit?

I installed the latest 8.0.1 Beta4 AMD64 version

OS on 4GB of Sandisk USB stick
6x 2TB of Seagate Green
Intel Pro 1000 Nic
Plextor DVD writer
Antec Nine hundred case
Seasonic 520 Watts Gold plus PSU

Recently i installed a fresh copy of 8.0.1 RC1 AMD64 and still showing 3989MB of memory.
Anyone has any idea ?
