I upgraded to 8.0.1 - RC1 but it isn't showing anywhere?

So I thought I successfully upgraded to 8.0.1 - RC1, it said it did but the system info says this

How did you upgrade?

from 8.0-RELEASE to 8.0.1 you have to do a full install + restore config or upgrade using CD.

Should I even upgrade or wait until the release ?
