FreeNAS 10Gb Dual Port Network Card

IX Systems sells this on Amazon for FreeNAS mini upgrade to 10GB. Who manufactures these cards ? Great price for 10GB and I know it will work in my FreeNAS boxes obviously :) also want to include VMware Servers in 10GB upgrade. Curious to manufacturer for driver compatibility in VMware etc.

Anyone know who's actually making these ?? which driver is required ?? in FreeBSD & VMware ESXi ? Also want to ensure ESXi version etc.

That's pretty interesting, far as I know iX systems uses Chelsio cards so I would be curious what model that one is and the cost of the SFP+'s. I got my chelsio cards (all T420-CR's) for between $80-$150 and the SFP+'s wee around $20-$40 each. This all being said if it is a chelsio card it is compatible with FreeNAS and ESXi 5.5u2, I know all this because I use the NIC in my FreeNAS and in my ESXi servers. For FreeNAS the driver is built in, for ESXi you'd have to identify which model chelsio card it is and then download the driver for ESXi from there website.

But now it says manufactured by iX systems using new parts...so I'm not 100%

My guess is intel, based on cyberjocks blog post about his mini, but it's pure quessing on my part.

I also went the chelsio 420 from ebay route for my freenas and esx servers. Easy to load the driver and things have been running fine since.

Good to know @cyberjock and @fuzzbawl ! I figured they were Chelsio cards they'd use.
