Anyone know what's up with the forums yesterday and today, or am I the only one that's having issues?

Yesterday, posts took some time to show up, general slowness, and some of the 'Last Post' for the different Sub-Forums weren't there when you went to the actual thread. That looks like it's back to normal and working properly today.

When you go to forums.freenas.org you get redirected to http://forums.freenas.org/activity.php.

Hey guys, sorry about the issues with the forum yesterday! I just fixed up the header template and going to look at the Activity Stream "feature" right now. I'll try and set the default to show forums instead of the Activity Stream. Thanks for your patience ;)

Looks great. I'm not sure how far you want to go with this? New posts: , arrows , etc...

If you can work out how to have URLs in the body of posts to be different, color, underlined or something, without changing the current look of the thread titles that would be helpful.

Great ideas paleoN! I'll work on the css for links in posts today. Right now all links use the same class so I'll have to find out where that is set and add another class as to not affect Thread titles. For buttons/icons I think it'd be neat to work with our graphic designer and get a custom set designed. I'll keep this thread updated as things progress.

Feel free to change the thread title. If I'm able to edit it I didn't see how.

One minor thing that bugs me for some reason. The forums use the default vBulletin favicon.ico and it bothers me more than it should. ;) If you feel like changing it one day please do!

I know one thing that I've received a lot of requests for is an RSS feed from the forums. I'm not sure, but I thought this was a standard feature of vBulletin now?

Of course the "Helpful Post" plugin is also a very useful feature that would be nice to have again if it doesn't cause other things to break ;)

Looking better & better and new favicon. :D

FYI, minor & unimportant issue I noticed with the URL links. When writing a post doing a preview doesn't show the URLs with the updated style. It does show up properly once submitted.

Have you thought about changing the page numbers & background? That pale blue doesn't really fit in with the rest of the look.

Update: I just updated the Anti-Spam plugin in hopes it would help our spam problem. I also tried to get the Post Thanks Hack working again, but yea, vB 4.2.x gets no love, yet... :(

I'll go ahead and start a new thread and make sure the forums don't get borked, somehow. :)
