Forum signature setting

Have these been changed? I tried to update mine but couldn't save it as it contains more the 5 links :(

Possibly. There've been some changes to reduce spam. It's possible for us moderators to edit your stuff so a quick fix would be to post the changes you'd like. Perhaps @JoshDW19 will comment on configuration changes that might fix the problem long term.

I did make some recent changes that impacted this. It looks like I had some reversed logic when setting up user groups. The less privileged group has signature restrictions and the more privileged / well known members should not. Whoops. Thanks for pointing this out.

It's nice to see real effort towards improving the forums, even if occasionally something breaks.

While we're at it, some users recently have displayed some confusion as to the policy on external links. It'd probably be nice to explicitly say in the forum rules that external links are fine if they're related to the matter at hand, not spammy, etc.

Yeah, we get the link thing now and then. If you can come up with some variation on "If you think a link is appropriate and relevant to a discussion, feel free to include it in your post. The moderators may remove links deemed inappropriate" to the rules, that'd be helpful. Spambots aside, I don't think this has been a problem.

I wish I could agree.
Unfortunately it hit the maximum jackpot. To a point where it became laughable (as to how the heck it managed to pull out so much rage at once) and anger-management-challenging.
Beyond hideous.

• Product pages
• Parts lists (although a more forum-friendly format is recommended)

Get just a few more posts and you will get promoted into the more privileged user group automatically that allows signatures. :)
